The trial of Princess Radziwell has copcluded,, Accused’s counsel urged that she .acted. with no fraudulent intent, and that nobody was injured by the transactions. The Attorney-General stigmatised her as a blackmailer, a cruel, dangerous woman. The Chief Justice, in summing up, remarked that it was not suggested m the correspondence Mrs Scholtz handed the prisoner bills.

A verdict of guilty cn all counts was returned.

The Chief Justice, in passing sentence, deplored the prisoner’s attempt to asperse an innocent woman, Mrs Scholtz ; also for bribing a post office boy to forge, Owing to her delicate health, Princess Radziwell was committed for two years to the house of correction. Prisoner listened to the sentence with bowed head.
