FORGER RADZIWELL. By Telegraph—Dress Association— Copyright., CAPETOWN, May 1. The trial of Princess Radziwell has copcluded,, Accused’s counsel urged that she .acted. with no fraudulent intent, and that nobody was injured by the transactions. The Attorney-General stigmatised her as a blackmailer, a cruel, dangerous woman. The Chief Justice, in summing up, remarked that it was not suggested m the correspondence Mrs Scholtz handed the prisoner bills.
A verdict of guilty cn all counts was returned.
The Chief Justice, in passing sentence, deplored the prisoner’s attempt to asperse an innocent woman, Mrs Scholtz ; also for bribing a post office boy to forge, Owing to her delicate health, Princess Radziwell was committed for two years to the house of correction. Prisoner listened to the sentence with bowed head.
