AUCKLAND CUSTOMS RETURNS.

The Auckland customs returns for the month of April compared with the corresponding period of last year are as follows : The net customs duty was £47,267, compared with £44,575 last year; the net beer duty £1661, against £1447. Tho export of butter, was 1988 cwt, valued at £9538, compared with 974 cwt, valued at £4178. Tho amount of cheese exported was 1143 cwt, valued at £2224, against 351 owt, valued at £719. The frozen beef exported was 2420 cwt, valued at £4491; lamb, 5215 cwt, valued at £8257, compared with 4003 cwt, valued at £6050; mutton, 560 cwt, valued at £654, against 1802 cwt, valued at £2161. The gold export was 14,8400 z, valued at £51.200, compared with 16,9340 z, valued at £57,154. The silver export was 51,6350 z, valued at 3E5§54, compared with 34,1140 z, valued at £3502. -
