At the adjourned special meeting of tiie Poverty Bay Rugby Union, there were present : Messrs Miller (in the chair), Eaton, Colebourne, Nutting, Williams, Symcs, and McCredie (lion. sec.).
The Chairman presented the report from the sub-committee appointed to go into the question of boundaries, which was to the effect that Huia and •West End boundaries should lie ed, and that Kaiti and City should combine ; also that the boundary between Huia and Kaiti should be the Waimata river. After going into the matter carefully the report was adopted. The Union then went into committee.
Owing to Mr Laurenson having been compelled to resign his office as delegate to the New Zealand Union, the Chairman stated that he and the secretary had (owing to short notice), taken upon themselves to ask Mr R. C. Sim to accept the position, and he had received a communication from that gentlemen accepting, and it would be for the meeting to confirm their action or otherwise.
Mr Nutting proposed, and it was carried, that Mr Sim be appointed the Union’s delegate to the N.Z.R.U. It was resolved to play five rounds for the senior championship, and the draw for fixtures resulted
May 10.—West End v. Huia. May 17.—Kaiti-City v. West End. May 21.—Hui v. Kaiti-City. The Management Committee to have full power to alter fixtures, or put back dates.
It was resolved that the Postponement Committee consist of the Chair, man and one delegate from each of the districts interested m the match for the occasion upon which any postponement may seem necessary. From the above t will be seen that
the clubs which tied for the championship last year will be the first to meet this season, and as both are putting in a lot ol training, the public can rely upon witnessing a first-class match.
