THAT WHARE.
tTo the Editor of the Times.) Sir, —When I wrote to- the Borough about shifting the whare I did not dream of Cr Eliller giving his advice on the matter. Crs Jones and Lysnar can very nearly read the Borough by-laws as well as Cr Miller. They and other Councillors did not offer an opinion, Only to try and help me to get the whare shifted from alongside my house. Here the amateur lawyers tell the' Council* that they must find power to deal with it. I hold that the Council as a Board of Health can order it to be removed out of the Borough at an hour’s notice. Notwithstanding the opinion of this energetic young Councillor, who is only there for his term, I would ask any sane person is it right, just, or fair for one man to endangerVho health of others by bringing a wharp in which a cancer patient died into the Borough, and then be. helped by a Councillor, a member of the Sanitary Committee, who says we must find power to deal with it. The Kaiti Road Board soon finds this power. Keep your cancer whare, wo won’t have it on the Kaiti.—l am, etc., P. Maher,
