MELBOURNE, April 27
Mr Barton, the Federal Premier, was banquetted in the Town thill prior to his departure for London. There was a large gathering. The speeches were chiefly complimentary, Mr Barton, referring to Mr Keddon, said that some people considered that !v)r Srddon had ceased to be a democrat because he was such a loyalist. He did not agree with those peo::ls.
