Miss Connie Buttel is an Australian young-lady, who scored a distinct success as the Sultana in the Rose of Persia ” during the Christchurch and Auckland productions of that opera: She has a voice of rare quality, and having a fine stage presence, is sure to become popular. Miss Nina Osborne will also be found in principal roles in Rose of Persia ” and “La Perichole.” This young lady is a sister of Miss Ida Osborne, for so many years a member of Williamson s Opera Company.
