London, April 24. Wheat: The American visible supply is estimated at 65,162,000 bushels. An Australian cargo sold at 29s 6d.

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report: We held our monthly stock sale at Makaraka on Thursday. There was a fair .attendance of the public, and although bidding was somewhat slack under the hammer, we managed to quit the bulk of our catalogue. Owing to bad weather, stock hardly came up to advertised numbers. Sheep : Our yarding was about 20UU, the majority of which were fair young ewes and wethers, with the usual proportion of old ewes which find their way into the market at this time of the year. We quote: Wethers, 4 and 6-tootb, 9s lOd, and 8s and 7s 9d for smaller; ewes, medium quality young ewes 7s to 7s 6d, 4-year-olds 3s 6d to 4s 6d, culls 2s ; lambs, woolly os fid. . , , Cattle : Our catalogue comprised about 80 head of mixed cattle. We quote: 2 to 21-year steers £4 12s 6d, 12-month steers 50s, dairy cows from £4 os to £6, and up to £ll 5s for one particularly good milker ; fat cows £5 12s 6d, aged Shorthorn bull £9 ss. , We hold our next sale on Thursday, May 22nd, when we anticipate a good yarding of iheep.
