MACHAVIE RAILWAY ACCIDENT.

Details ol the Machavie railway accident, by which the New Zealanders lost their lives, show the accident was owing to a mistake which led to the train carrying the troops proceeding oefore the line was cleared. When the „rain was descending the incline it colided with an empty goods train from Klerksdorp. Generals Wilson, Barker an J many other officers and civilians attended the funerals of the victims.
