THE BOER WAR.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, April 17. A caucus of Afrikander Bond members, representing twolve districts in Cape Colony, censured the leaders of the Bond for knowingly pursuing a policy precipitating the war, the rank and file never having intended to encourage the war, and being kept in ignorance of the policy. Lewis Handley, a farmer of Natal, has arrived iu London, to give evidence that Arthur Lynch, the elect of Dublin, commanded a body of Boers who confiscated his cattle, destroyed one hundred acres of crops, and otherwise acted treasonably. Kruitzinger’s acquittal was chiefly due to the Crown Prosecutor producing an intercepted letter wherein Kruitzingcr reproached Scheepers for burning houses, and he otherwise expressed humane and honorable sentiments. When acquitted, all the members of the Court warmly shook Kruitziuger by tho hand. The newspapers publish detailed reports of tho Morant-Han Icock trial, supplied by Reuter’s agent at Durban.
