DOCTOR AND PATIENT.
CLAIM BY DR. POLLEN

At the Magistrate’s Court co-day Dr Pollen sued a patient for €2l for the amputation of two fingers and a thumb, and subsequent attendance. The defendant was a mechanic, and had his hand injured in a planing machine. He had received €135 from an insurance company and five years' guarantee of employment from his employers at the former rate of wages. The S.M. considered that the claim was excessive, and gave judgement for twelve guineas and costs.
