Christchurch Tramway.

CHRISTCHURCH, last night. The committee appointed by a conference of delegates of local bodies in regard to the taking over of the tram ways, submitted a detailed scheme providing for the raising of £50,000 for the purpose. The report, which has been adopted, provides for the establishment of a Tramway Board, to be elected by the various local bod.es interested, and to have the power to purchase existing lines and concessions. An empowering Bill will be drafted for presentation to Parliament next session.
