RELIGION AND MORALS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night. During the hearing of an application at the Police Court to have an Grde;: made in an affiliation case varied, Mr Brookfield, who appeared for the girl, said that defendant was quite prepared to marry his client, who was under age, but her mother would not consent to the marriage, because defendaut v/as not a Seventh Day Adventist.
His Worship said he was unaware if there was anything in parents’ creed to lead to objection, but as the young man’s father offered to provide the girl with a homo His Worship advised him to keep the girl till she was of age, when the parties could be united.
