More Light Wanted.

(To the Editor of the Times). Sir, —Kindly allow me space to call attention to the need for more street lamps in this town. I think the present state of affairs is a disgrace to the Council, especially us it has some pretensions to being a progressive body. I have been all over the Australasian colonies, and even the very smallest places, half, and even a quarter the size of Gisborne, are much better lighted. We pay heavy rates, and surely the Council can make provision for some improvement in the street lighting. —I am, etc., D. Bovd.
