By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night. The barque Kathleen Hilda, which left the Thames ten days ago for Melbourne with a cargo of timber, encountered a fierce gale shortly after leaving port. The storm raged for four days and nights, during which the captain was constantly on deck. During the gale the vessel sprung a leak, and was apparently badly strained. Captain Roy deemed it necessary to return here for repairs. A survey is to be made.
