This means a loss to Queensland of twenty-five thousand pounds, besides the loss to business people in Thursday Island. MELBOURNE, April 9.

In view of the removal of the headquarters of the pearling industry, the Government are making immediate enquiries with the view of seeing how far circumstances justify the action being taken.
