PREMIER TESTIMONIAL
(Per Press Associatica.) CHRISTCHURCH, last night. A meeting of the Seddon Testimonial Committeee was held tnis afternoon. Mr G. G. Stead reported that in accordance with Mr Seddon’s request it had been arranged ihat the presentation take place to-morrow evening in the Canterbury Hall. The Mayor would take the chair, and the presentation would lie made by, Sir John Hall, a fact which should give satisfaction to all. Sir John Hall had been for many years a political opponent of the Premier, but like others who were not at one with Mr Seddon on matters political, he was ready to fittingly recognise the services rendered to the colony in the despatch of contingents. The chairman said that it would he necesscry to keep the lists open for a time, as many subscribers had sent their contributions by post, and had no opportunity of signing the memorial.
