i By Telegraph—Press Association Auckland, last night. For the third day’s racing of tho Auckland Club’s Autumn Meeting, the weather was threatening. Rain fell in the morning, and the course was heavy. The attendance was fair. The sum of 1110,101 passed through tho totalisators, making .£48,186 for tho meeting. The results were:— Maiden Handicap Hurdles: Firefly and Parahaki (doad heat) 1, Hincmoa 3. All started. Time 3.33 3-5; divs., £2 14s 6d and £2 19s 6. Criterion Handicap: Hector 1, Mechanic 2, Rosiphele 8. All started. Won by half-a-length. A protest on the ground of interference was dismissed. Time 1.20. Divs., £3 4s and 18s 6d. Autumn Handicap : Matamataharekiki 1, Beddington 2, Rosella 8. St. Olga and Hikipeno were scratched. Won by a neck. Time 2.44}. Divs.; Matamataharekiki, £32 3s 6d; Beddington and Rosella (bracketod), £1 9s. Handicap Hurdles : Rufus 1, Tim 2, Voltigeur 11. 3. Scratched: Waiwera. Won easily by a length. Time 3.58. Div. £1 19s 6d.
Welter Handicap: Golden Rose 1, Sundial 2, Geologist 3. Scratched: Hollee and Hector. Won comfortably by three lengths. Time , 1.45}. Divs., £5 19s 6d and £1 10s.
Pony Handioap: Vulpine 1, Soaspray 2, Polly Perkins 3. Scratched: Gladys Rose and Lizette. Won by a length. Seaspray failed to’ draw weight, and was disqualified. An enquiry was held into Vulpine’s running, but nothing came of it. Time 1.7 ; divs., £3 13s and £l2 11s 6d.
Grandstand Handicap: Defender and Reclaimer (dead heat) 1, .Highlander 3. Scratched: Val Rosa, Formula, The Needle, Sundial, Geologist. A great race in tho straight took place between all the starters. Highlander was a neck away third. Time 1.31}; divs., £4 11s and £lO 2s.
Victoria Handicap: Wairiki 1, Kelbourno 2, Northumberland 3. Ida was scratched. Won by throe parts of a length. Time 1.4 3-5 ; divs., £5 2s 6d and £2 12s 6d.
