A SAILOR’S CONDUCT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night. James "Walsh, a sailor from one of the warships, was sentenced at the Police Court yesterday to one month’s imprisonment for assaulting Constable Skinner, who had to get assistance to secure arrest. LABOR CONFERENCE. The Labor Conference concluded yesterday. Mr O’Rcgan’s letter re settlement in South Africa was referred to the Colonial Councils for consideration, The Conference expressed regret that in several recent decisions of the Arbitration Court preference to Unionists bad been departed from. Next Conference was fixed for Greymouth. CORONATION CONTINGENT. Two Arawa natives Aperahama and Ehare havo been chosen for the Coronation Contingent.
