THE BARBERTON FATALITY.
DESPATCHES FROM STEYN. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, April 4. Six of the soldiers injured in the Barberton accident have since died. ihe Pretoria cjrrespondent of tho Standard states despatch riders reached Klerksdorp on Sunday with letters to Burger from Steyn, who was with De la Rey and Kemp. The despatches were forwarded to liroonstad.
DeWet is at Boshof. The number of surrenders is increasing in Eastern Transvaal.
The military and civilian opinion at Pretoria both insist on continuous and energetic drives as the quickest and surest way to securing peace.
