SCHOOL PICNIC.
A correspondent kindly supplies us vith tlie following report of the VTae xouga-a-hika Scliool picnic. This event was held on hosier Mon- , Cay'in Mr R. C. Millar’s paddock, and is, nfore favorable locality for a picmc could not well be chosen. The day was everythin c that could be desired, and a lucre than ordinary number of visitors from town and the surrounding d;sti iets were present, quite 800 peop-e being on the ground. A lengthy and attractive programme was given A. it he events were keenly contested, and the awards of the judges gave every satisfaction. Donations from town.people were numerous, inc ' udl "- special prizes from Messrs H- Bruce jW. Morgan, Primrose and Lehlic ’„.;“ rt others. b Mr Joseph Cooper, of Waer enga-a-Mka, donated a special pn# - the most comic costume m the Comic Costume Race.
