SHIPPING.

The Union Co.'s steamer Hawea (Capt' Lambert) arrived from the South early yesterday morning, and left for Auckland at 8 o’clock. The Tyser Co.’s steamer Star of Australia is due hero on Saturday next to load produce from Messrs Nelson Bros.’ works. The s.s. Omapere arriyed from the Coast yesterday afternoon, bringing 40 Maoris from the Native gathering at Waiomatatini, accompanied by Mr A. T. Ngata; also, the following passengers — Mesdames Vincent and Fillimoro and child; Misses Vincent and Averell; Messrs Jones, Fillimore, and Potae. The steamer left for Napier last evening. The schooner Awanui on the present trip brought a cargo of 57,000 ft timber for Messrs Kennedy and Evans, Stafford, Harding, and Williams and Kettle, and about 60 tons of general cargo for various consignees. The Huddart-Parker Co.’s steamer Burrumbeet arrives from Sydney and Auckland this afternoon, and leaves for south during the evening. The s.s. Te Anau arrives from south early this morning, and leaves for Auckland at 8 a.m. The Aotea (Captain Skinner) arrived at Auckland on Monday, and leaves again for Gisborne, via Coast ports, on Wednesday, 9th April. UNION STEAMSHIP COMPANY’S MOVEMENTS.

Wednesday.—To Anau arrives from South early, and leaves for Auckland. First lauch 6 a.m.; last launch 8 a.m. Saturday.—Waikare arrives from South early, and leaves for Auckland and Sydney. First launch, 6 a.m.; last launch, 10 a.m. Sunday, April 6th.—Te Anau arrives from Auckland during the afternoon, and leaves for South. Last launch, 5 p.m.
