CHARITABLE AID. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Wellington, last night. During the year ended March 81st, relief was granted by the Wellington Benevolent Trustees to 432 persons. The total number of rations granted was 51,951, at an average value of 3id each. DREDGING. The Premier Buller dredge has given a return of 16oz for 77 hours’ work. CUSTOMS DUTY. During the year ended March 81, Customs duties collected at the port of Wellington amounted to .£509,713, as against ;£508,093 for the previous year. NEW ZEALAND TROOPERS. The Casualty Department at Capetown cables that Sergeant Coalman is dangerously ill of enteric at Standcrton. Lieutenant Taylor is slightly improved, and Lieutenant Freeth’s condition is also slightly improved.. Private Quinn is still dangerously ill at Wakkcrsirooin.
