YOUNG MAN SHOT.
[bi telegbaph. pbess association.]
Invercargill, last night,
Percy Raymond, a son of Captain Raymond, a pioneer settler and now Lloyd’s surveyor at the Bluff, was found shot dead on Wednesday, in the Mataura district. He had been out shooting rabbits on Glendhu station. The body was found alongside a wire fence, the discharged gun lying close by, and the surmise is that it went off accidentally as he was getting through the fonce. He was about 23 years of age.
