DONCASTER NOTES.

By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, March 26. There was nothing sensational on the tracks to-day, but speculation is rife as to Sir Foote’s non-appearance. The fastest run over the Doncaster distance was by lea in 1.473, beating Acetine by a length. Vanity Fair and Haymaker did a good gallop. The former, owing to Sir Foote easing in tho betting, has hardened to 7 to i w hile Sir Foote’s stable companion, Beauba, came into favor at 100 to 5 and 6. Sir Foote did a little slow work on the tracks this morning. Apparently, there is nothing wrong with him. Though the ringmen are not disposed to take any liberties, they are anxious to bet 6 to 1. Throughout the day, Sir Foote was not asked for, but had 7 to 1 been wanted probably it would have been forthcoming. Beauba, a Btablo companion of Sir Foote's, is in strong order, and is being backed to win all tho money available down to 7 to 1. Vanity Fair is at Bto 1, and Purser at 100 tq 8.
