The Union Co.’s s.st Waikare (Captain Gibb) arrived from Auckland and Sydney yesterday, at 8.80 a.m., and resumed her voyage South at 11.30 a.m. Passengers : —lnward : Misses Carter and llatclifle; Mrs Currie and child ; Messrs Ford, Vesper, Rennie, Clunie, White, Bell, and Hepburn. The schooner Alert left yesterday morning for Ngunguru to load coal for this port.
The s.s. Omapere arrived at Awanui yesterday morning, but was unable to land anything. She proceeded to Tuparoa, discharged cargo, and romained there last night. She returns to Awanui this morning, and will then come on to Gisborne direct with the Maoris from the Waiomatatini meeting, and return to the Coast again this evening at 5 o’clock.
UNION STEAMSHIP COMPANY’S MOVEMENTS.
Thursday.—Oinapere arrives from Auckland and Coast ports, and leaves again for tko Coast. Last launch, 6 p.m. Sunday, 30th.—Moura arrives from Auckland during the afternoon, and leaves for South. First launch on arrival; last, 5 p.m.
TELEGRAPHIC SHIPPING. Yesterday Lyttelton. Sailed, 10.15 p.m., 25th, Toroa, for Chatham Islands. Arrived, 7.20 a.m. to-day, Zealandia, from Port Chalmers; 12 noon, s.s. Pakeha, for Oamaru. Lyttelton. —Sailed, 5.30 p.m., Zealandia for Wellington ; sailed, 4 p.m., Whakatane, for London, via Monte Video and Teneriffe.
Port Chalmers.—Arrived, 7 p.m., Canterbury, ship, from Wellington. Tiinaru. —Arrived, 4 p.m., in roadstead, Karamea, frem Wellington.
