Punishing a Horse.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, last night. The stewards of the Napier Park Eacing Club, on their own initiative, called Fairbrother (the rider of Eodara in the Handicap Hurdle Eace) before them after the race, he having punished the horse very severely, when he had no possible chance of winning. The stewards passed the following resolution : “ That the running of Eodara by Fairbrother was of such a character that the stewards decide to suspend his license as a rider for the present meeting.”
