N.Z. FARMERS’ UNION.
POVERTY BAY EXECUTIVE. (To the Editor of the Times). Sir, —It is with much pleasure that I hasten to advise you that the Farmers’ Union havo received a letter from the Department of Agriculture stating that Mr Kinsella, Dairy Commissioner, or one of the experts on his staff, Mr D. Cuddie, will visit Poverty Bay under the auspices of the Farmers’ Union about April 18th. These gentlemen, not being lecturers, do not desire to give set lectures or speak from the platforms of the branches of the Union, but will attend a meeting at each branch, and give advice on everything relating to the Dairy Industry in an informal way, answering questions, and giving practical hints. By these means members who perhaps might otherwise be reluctant to get upon their feet and ask a question can do so without discomfort. Mr W. Hutchinson and myself have boon appointed to meet these gentlemen and arrange for their introduction to the various branches. When the date of their arrival in Gisborne is definitely known the secretary of each branch will bo advised and an advertisement inserted in the papers.—l am, etc., Lissant Clayton, Provincial Secretary, , Poverty Bay.
