On Saturday Mr Sheridan (secretary of the Seddon Address Committee) received word from Mr Carroll confirming the former news that Mr Seddon would he leaving Napier for 'Auckland on Tuesday, and would likely stay a short time in Gisborne en route. It is not clear whether the Premier will call on the way up or down, but no doubt definite news will be received to-day.- Meantime His Worship the Mayor is calling a meeting of citizens for this evening at the Borough Council Chambers to make any arrangements they may consider necessary in connection with the Premier’s visit. It is proposed to read the Gisborne address to the Premier, to which there are already, some hundreds of signatures, on his present visit,- but as it is hoped to get a great many more signatures to the address it will be meanwhile retained by the Committee and then forwarded when complete to the Premier before he leaves for England, What form .the reception of the Premier will take will be settled at to-night’s meeting;
