The Union Co.’s s.s. Mararoa (Captain Smith) arrived from Napior and Southorn ports early on Saturday, and left for Auckland at 1 o’clock. The To Anau arrived from Auckland at 4 p.m. yesterday, and later on went South. Outward: Misses Nolan, Shaw, Banks, Newman, Byer; Mesdames Nolan, Moore, and two children, Owen, Bock, Davys, McCarthy, Gaston and three children ; Messrs Davy, Holmes, Turpin, Gaston, Moore, Edgar, Macaulloy, Clark, Leslie,Nutting, Harding, Thomson, Tmith, Keesing, Potter, Bock, Davys, McCarthy. The scow Hawk was brought into the river yesterday afternoon, being from the Kaipara with a load of timber for the Gisborne Harbor Board. The s.s. Hawea left Auckland for South on Saturday. She should leave the Bluff on Thursday, Oamaru and Timaru on Saturday next, and will call at Gisborne if sufficient inducement offers.
The s.s. Omapere leaves Auckland at 5 p.m. to-day for East Coast ports and Gisborne. The s.s. Waikare leaves Auckland at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, and is due here early on Wednesday. She leaves for South at 8 a.m.
The schooners Aotea and Gisborne were in the Bay yesterday, being unable to work Coast ports. The schooner Alert (Captain H. Peterson), from Nguuguru, with a load of coal for the Gisborne Freezing Works, was brought into the Jiarbor at noon Qiy Saturday by tno Waibi. ~~ UNION STEAMSHIP COMPANY’S MOVEMENTS.
Wednesday.—Moura arrives from South, and leaves for Auckland. First launch, 6 a.m.; last, 8 a.m. Waikare arrives from Auckland
and Sydney early in the morning, and leaves for the South at 8 a.m. Thursday.—Omapere arrives from Auckland and Coast ports, and leaves for Napier. Last launch, 5 p.m. Sunday, 30 th.—Moura arrives from Auckland during the afternoon, and jieaves for South. First launch on arrival; last, 5 p.m.
