WAIPIRO RACES. The Waipiro Jockey Club’s annual meeting took place on the beach yesterday. There was a large attendance, and the meeting was most successful. Mr Durrant, the hon. secretary, had everything in capital order. Mr S. Burdett was judge, Mr W. McKay starter, Mr W. Dines clerk of scales, and Mr Lloyd clerk of the course. The handicapper was Mr W. Kirkpatrick. Handicap Hurdles, 11- miles: Pistol Grip 1, Mangatnahake 2., Scurry, 6 furlongs: Wildfire 1. Tawhiti Cup, miles: A.B.N. 1, Daphne Isles 2. Pony Handicap, about five furlongs: Rosina 1. Flying Handicap, about sis furlongs: Pistol Grip 1. District Handicap, about one mile: A.B.N. 1. REEFTON RACES. [BS TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, last night.
