[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Auckland, last night. At a meeting of the Farmers’ Union Mr M. M. Kirkbride was elected President, and in his address said one of the first questions the UnioQ should consider was land tenure. If there was any tenure worth having if was freehold, and they should insist on having it. A resolution was passed that the 'Main Trunk Railway should be completed to Awanui within seven years, and it was also resolved that all members of Parliament who do not use the utmost diligence in supporting this resolution and for the north of Auckland railway be opposed by all members of the Union at the nest election.
