By Telegraph —Press Association. Wellington, last night. The Finance Committee recommended to the City Council to-night that a loan of £230,000 be raised for water supply purposes, to bo coincident with the tramways loan of £‘330,000 just sanctioned by the ratepayers. The interest required on the whole loan will be £'92,000 per annum, with £TIIS sinking fund. The report was adopted.
