ROYALTY AND IRELAND.
THEIR MAJESTIES ADVISED NOT TO VIST IRELAND.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, March 13. It is officially announced that His Majesty the King, on the advice of his Ministers, has expressed regret to Lord Cadogan that their Majosties’ intended visit to Ireland cannot take place this year. The violent members of the League are jubilant, and interpret the decision as a result of their protest against the threatened revival of the Crimes Act. A large section of Irishmen, including temperate Nationalists, consider the decision a great blow to Ireland. The Times declares that it is the natural consequence of the flagrant display of disloyalty and sedition some Nationalists have’choson to indulge in in the House of Commons.
