IMPORTANT SHEEP SALE.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, last night
The Spteydon Lodge flock of Soutii Down sheep, bred by the late Samuel Garforth, were sold at auction to-day. There was a large attendance, breeders from all parts of tne colony being present or represented. Competition was good for all except rams, for which the demand was unaccountably weak. The 865 head of sheep and lambs offered realised £2900.
