Forty-five progressive Cape Commoners have signed a petition for suspension of the constitution. Six others are expected to sign it. A BOER PLANT. Colonol Porter cables to tho Premior stating that all the wounded of tho Seventh Contingent are doing well. Tho Governor has received cable advico from the Casualty Department at Capetown stating that the following casualties are reported for tho first time in tho halfyearly return : At Botha’s Pass on 27th Decemberseverely wounded, 4153 Shooingsrnith T. W. Allen and 4282 W. Robertson at Bastard’s Drift, 27th September, 3148 R. Seth.
