PRESS ASSOCIATION.
ANN UAL ’MEETING. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. The annual meeting of the shareholders of the United Press Association, was held this afternoon. There were yresent : Messrs J. L. Wilson (Chairman), Brett, Knowles, L. Blundell, Wilkin, Fenwick, Kelly, Carr, Dinwiddie, McCullough, Hon. H. Fieldwick, F. W. Jones, "Bell, SeligT Parkinson, Muir,"Atkin, and Williams, representing most of the journals of the colony from Auckland Mown to Invercargill. Amongst the recommendations of Jhe d.rectors’ report, which was adopted, v-as the payment of a bonus of ten per cent, to subscribers to the Association. Messrs Brett and Wilkin, the retiring directors, were re-elected. A vote of condolence w r as passed on the death of Mr C. A. Carr, of Dunedin, formerly a member of the Association. It was decided to hold the next meeting in Christchurch.
