STOCK SALES.

MESSES COMMON, SHELTON AND CO,’S REPORT.

Messrs Common, Shelton and Co. report Our monthly stock sale was held at Waerenga-a-hika to-day (Thursday), when we yarded 3500 sheep and about 30 head of cattle. A nice line of 900 2-tooth wethers in forward condition elicited keen competition, and were kuockeddown at 9s •Id. Five hundred full-mouth station ewes, of medium quality, brought from 4s 3d to 4s 7d. Forward ewes, full mouth, brought from 6s to 7s. Several good lines of lambs were offered, but wero not in demand, and they failed to realise the reserves. Culled ewes in low condition were also neglected. Lincoln rams realised 14 guineas, but very few were sold. Forward bullocks, heavy weight, brought £6 os, and fat buliocks £6 15s. Bacon pigs realised 22s to 25s ; porkers, 16s each.

Our next sale will be held at Waerenga-o-kuri Hotel Yards on Thursday next, the 13th inst., at one p.m., when we will offer 6000 sheep, particulars of which will be found in our advertising columns. Special arrangements are being made by Mr Morrison for tbe accommodation of the public, and Mr H. H. Wall has generously offered to provide several paddocks for the convenience of buyers.
