Lifley went in next. Ho brought tho century in sight, but only lifted his own total to nine when he gave Duff his opportunity, which was accepted. Six for 104.
Mcballey followed. He knocked up seveu, and then skied a ball from Noble to Hid. Seveu for 127.
Jones filled the vacancy. Tvldesley plodding with his score, Jones started tigOi-Uij.y ua Humble, and appreciated the change to Eudy, who relieved tho \ tetonan. He gat e a chance, a hard one, to Trumble in the slips, but it was not avaned of. However, his end came at Nobles hands in tho next over. Ei-ht for 157. °
Gunn went in next. With four to his credit Hill caught him at loug on. Nino for 161.
Blythe, the last man, held the wicket while lyldesley scored, but any hope of winning tho match was dispelled when Tyldesley scooped Trumble rouud to Eady of deep square leg, Australia thus winning by thirty-two runs. The following are tho scores :

It will not affect tho left-hand bowler’s delivery in tlio slightest. Poidevin is going to England in connection with his medical studios. Tliouffii not a member of the team, it is understood that he will bo available if required. Major Wardell goes as manager. Both English and Australian teams leave by the Omrali oil the 20tli inst. Mr Spofforth and wife also accompany them.
