KEEPING SWEET WITH THE PRESSMEN. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, Feb. 27. The Daily Mail says there was great crushing of the crowd at the launch of the Kaiser’s yacht Meteor. Soldiers forced a passage for President Roosevelt and Prince Henry. After the lunch there was a terrific rush for souvenirs, and the crockery, knives and forks were looted. Now York, Feb. 27. Mr Whitelaw Reid, in toasting Prince Henry, said God and Nature had intended Germany, Great Britain, and America to live in perpetual peace and friendship. Prince Henry replied, stating that the Kaiser had directed him to remember that American pressmen ranked almost with his generals.
