DUNEDIN, last night. The Wesleyan Conference sat hi ministerial session to-day. Reports on

the work of probations were dealt with. The following were passed in

their respective years : Messrs Beckett Kell, Wills, Blamires, Haslam, Scotter, Luck, and Wilson. The results of examinations in each case were highly satisfactory. Other cases were deferred to permit the Conference to consider the applications from ministers from other Conferences to enter the Church. A request from the Rev, MiDyer (England) was declined. It was decided to accept the transfer of the Rev. Wallis, from New South Wales. An application from the Rev. Mr Slade was recommended for favorable consideration in the conference of 1903 The Rev. Mr Burton was recommended for foreign mission work, and the Rev. Harrison granted permission to visit England if satisfactory arrangements can be made for the work at Freeman’s Bay Mission (Auckland). A similar request from the Rev. Frost was deferred for further consideration. The Rev. Chappel was granted one year’s relief from ministerial work to complete his university course. The Rev. Pratt (Victoria) was accepted.
