DELAYED BY FIVE DAYS’ GALE. CARGO DAMAGED. [liV TELEGRAM— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Auckland, last night. The San Francisco mail steamer Sierra arrived at 6 p.m. The delay was owing to a heavy gale, lasting five days, during which the Sierra was run at half speed. Sho shipped much water, damaging some deck fittings. The tarpaulins were washed off No. 1 hatch, allowing water into the holds.
