CITIZENS’ BALL, (Per Press Association!. CHRISTCHURCH, last night. A Citizens’ Committee has been appointed to make arrangements for enteiiaining the officers of the Fleet at a ball. STOLEN BICYCLES. A man was arrested to-night for stealing two bicycles, one last September. and one in January. Both machines were new. and valued at £2l l and -£25. The parts of one of the machines were found some months ago in a p Imitation at FendaTton. THE HALL DIVORCE. In the Divorce case Hall v. Hall, in which a decree nisi was pronounced last week. Judge Denniston to-day assessed the costs against the husband a I £10(1, and on notice of appeal being given by the wife, ordered security for costs, £SO, to be lodged. INCORRIGIBLE BOYS. The two lads who were arrested last week for breaking into the premises of G . Shaw, draper, and stealing a suit of clothes, and also stealing horses, came up for sentence at the Supreme Court to-day. having pleaded guilty in the lower Court. The Burnham escapee was sentenced lo six months’ imprisonment, and the other lad was admitted to 12 months’ pro-, bation. TOM MANN. Turn Mann arrived this morning, and will address a meeting to-morrow night.
