At a meeting of the Committee of the send-off to the Premier it was announced that the Wellington Committee thought a list should bo circulated for signatures of all thoso who endorsed tho Premier’s actions, and separate lists for thoso who also want to contribute to a purse of sovereigns. Tho Mayor said that over 500 subscription lists bad been sent out, and of course no returns were yet to hand. Ho moved, “ That a reply bo sent to Wellington agreeing to tho action in accordance with tho suggestion, and asking that information be forwarded with regard to what was being done re subscription lists.”
