PREMIER TESTIMONIAL, By Telegraph—Press Association. Nelson, last night. At a meeting of citizens to night it was resolved ••That this’meeting desires to record its high appreciation of Ihe services rendered by the Premier on behalf of the colony to the Empire, and cordially suppoits the proposal to tender him a" testimonial in recognition of his prompt, patriotic action.” A large and representative committee was appointed to give effect to the resolutien. SUCCESSFUL STUDENTS. Word has been received by cable that W. H. Moyes has passed the first section 1 of B.A. examination. C. R. Fell, G. P. Rogers, and Gerald Fell each passed the ; first section of LLB. at the degree examination of the New Zealand University. 1 Ail these belonged to Nelson College. i
