The marriages of Winifred and Joseph McCaghey and Margaret and Hugh McLaughlan were to-day dissolved in the Divorce Court, each case being on the wife’s petition. Oscar Miller was to-day committed for trial on a charge of obtaining £5 10s from James Newton by false pretences, accused allegedly procuring the money from Newton to make certain bets on racehorses. The Ixokikoki dredge returned 21oz for 118 hours work. Mr Justice Edwards to-day gave judgment on the petition of Alfred Taylor for ordering the winding up of the Buller United Gold Mining and Dredging Company, No. 1, an Okikaiti claim at Reefton. Two men named Barry and Rogers, who had walked overland to NelsoD, were arrested. They are supposed to have been concerned in the recent robbery of a safe at the railway station, j
