the reserve to be .£25,934,000; in coin and bullion .£84,539,001); proportion of reserve to liabilities, 48’24; in circulation, £28;734,000 ; public deposits, J 614,078,000; other deposits, £39,482,000 ; Government securities, .£17,274,000; other securities, .£28,665,000. Three-months bills are at 2:j. New South Wales and Victorian threchalfs arout 104 ; New South Wales threes, 97 ; South Australian threes, 931. Consols and other stocks arc unchanged. Wheat: The English and American markets are firm, but inactive. Continental is dull, and France weaker. Cargoes are dull, and unchanged in price, buyers holding off, The butter market is very firm. Colonial is at 110 s; occasional lots, 112 s. The demand for secondary sorts continues. Danish is from 116 s to lißs. Rabbits are firm at 9d to 9£d. Hares are dull of sale. A few sold at Is 4d to Is 6d.
Sugar is firm. German, 9s 9d ; first marks, unchanged. Copper is dull at 54 5-8 d ; three months, 54 1-8.
Pig iroD, 51s l^d. Lead, 111 1-16; spelter, £179 16s. The Bradford wool market is quiet. Common sixties are at 19}; super, 20}.
