The match with Maclaren’s team at Bathurst was drawn. The Englishmen in their first innings made 505 ; Quaife (not out) 159, Maclaren 79, Hayward 44. The Western Distict first innings closed for 177; Barnes 33, Poidevin 36, and Holdsliip 30 made tbe best scores.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, last night. In tho contest United v. Midland, United made 322—Sims, not out, 133, Durant 33. Midland 183—Strong 58, Lawrence 44, Tolan 33. In tbe innings Midland made 42 for two wickets. In the Lancaster Park v. Sydenham match the Park made 215, Sydenham responding with 95 and 46.
