RIFLE MATCH.
H.M.S. PENGUIN v. GISBORNE RIFLES. The match between a team from H.M.S. Penguin and one from the Gisborne Rifles took place on Saturday afternoon, and resulted in an easy victory for the visitors by 23 points, several of the • best shots of the Rifles being completely • baffled by the wind. The best score of • the day was made by Corporal Austen, of 1 the Royal Marine Light Infantry’, and the ' highest score on the Gisborne side was made by Corporal Franklin.
