DRUIDS’ GRAND LODGE.

Palmerston North, last night. The Druids’ seventh annual meeting of the North Island district was opened at Masterton on Thursday. There were over thirty delegates present, every Lodge in the district being represented. Bro. Bubery, D.P., presided. The report of the board of management was adopted. The balance-sheet showed that the receipts for the half-year had increased by £2OO lbs 9d. The membership had increased during the year by 154. Proposals to reduce the death levy were rejected, and the maximum death allowance was fixed at L‘2oo.

The following officers were elected for the ensuing year Grand President, Bro. Gardiner; Vice Grand President, Bro. Fletcher; Grand Secretary, Bro. MacKay ; Grand Treasurer, Bro. Grant ; Grand Guardian, Bro. Bloomfield.

The business finished last night, and the delegates left for home this morning. Among those present at the meeting was Bro. Newton, the Grand President of the Canterbury Grand Lodge.
