Tho newspapers describe Sir Henry Rawson, the Governor-elect of New South Wales, and Sir Sydneyham Clarke, present Governor of Victoria, as the two best authorities on defence. Sydney, Jan. 81. Labor members are protesting to Mr See, the Premier, against the appointment of Sir Henry Rawson and Sir Sydenham Clarke as a deliberate scheme on the part of the Imperial Government to encourage militarism in Australia.
